Maybe I set my expectations too high...

I'm a big fan of Skye Warren.... But this combined work with Annika Martin wasn't a home for me.

Yes, the story was dark, but it didn't have any of the 'what the f*' moments I was hoping for. I also didn't really care for the characters.

I'll still read book #2 (Hostage), but I'll be going in with my fingers crossed.

Thank goodness Prisoner was free.
