Cannot be read as a standalone
Rhodi Rising takes place right after Rhodi's Light. The twins are hiding with their relatives, but they can't hide forever. The Hunter's Guild will come after them eventually.
The story is mainly about Dylan, Devin, and Tristan. When they discover that the Rhodi masters are held captive, they plan on breaking them out. Through their deadly journey, they also make some new friends.
I loved the additional characters. They may not be Rhodis, but they have some surprising skills and power.
There were some arguments and disagreements between the characters that were very childish. But I just reminded myself that it is a YA book. Overall, I loved the adventure in the story. I couldn't get enough of the action, suspense, and touch of romance. I need to get my hands on Rhodi's Lullaby to see how everything will end.
