This was so much more than what I was expecting. I could hear my heart breaking throughout the story. I loved this from the beginning to end. This is a must read!
After losing her job and boyfriend, Rae moves back to Boston. She helps her sister by working at her retail shop. Unfortunately, her little sister takes advantage of her whenever she can. Rae is pretty much a doormat in the beginning. But during her journey of truth, she becomes a strong and confident woman.
Jack is an Irish fighter with deep roots in South Boston. He and his family are leaders in the community. They will not allow the evil Mayor build his mega malls and raise taxes. When Rae and Jack run into each other, the attraction between them is strong.... until he finds out Rae is the Mayor's daughter. The daughter who put his brother in prison.

There are no erotic moments, but some good smooching and touching. This story gave me such a good hangover. I was all over the place. Laughter to tears. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a good mystery/romance novel. Thank you K. Ryan for giving me a great adventure!
