Or maybe their less than ideal pasts give them an opportunity to heal each other and finally find the love their lives have been missing.
When I look at the big picture, this series almost has a Cruel Intentions vibe.
Alayna was a good girl trying to succeed in life. Hudson was a billionaire that broke a lot of hearts by playing intricate games. Although he wanted a serious chance with Alayna, his past wouldn't let him go.
This series is so hot, you won't know where your panties ran off to. Hudson (book 4) can almost be read as a standalone. Alayna isn't really involved in it, but the story explains his messed up mentality on life.
